(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an event in Lleida, a tourist city in northeast Spain, on August 2, 2025 to tell residents and tourists about Falun Dafa and how practitioners in China have been imprisoned, tortured, had their organs forcibly harvested by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for remaining steadfast in their faith. Many passers-by stopped to learn about the persecution and signed the petition to support Falun Dafa and to condemn the CCP’s atrocities.
Many people signed the petition at an event in Lleida on August 2, 2025.
Lleida is an ancient and the ruins that date back to the Bronze Age and Roman times, make it a popular tourist attraction. The practitioners’ event was held in the commercial pedestrian street of the old town in the city center.
The passersby were shocked by the cruelty of the persecution, especially the CCP’s violent act of forced organ harvesting. They were not able to comprehend why such things can happen today. Some people saw the banner with the words “Help Stop the CCP’s Live Organ Harvesting” and walked over to sign the petition to stop the persecution. Some asked about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. After learning more, many of them proceeded to sign the petition to show their support of the practitioners’ effort to end the persecution.
The Whole World Should Know About the CCP’s True Nature
Felix is a student from Honduras. He said, “I have heard of some of the CCP’s violent acts but I did not know that the persecution is so severe and the scale is so great. What is more alarming is that they actually tried to make use of propaganda news to cover up their criminal acts and have been keeping it under wraps for so long. This is really disturbing. So it is very important that you make your voices heard here today and let the whole world know about the CCP’s true nature.”
Felix, a student from Honduras, said he hadn’t known the persecution of Falun Gong was so severe.
Two young ladies, Maria and Paula, said this was the first time they heard of the CCP’s forced organ harvesting crimes. Paula said, “This is inhumane. Under such a regime like the CCP, everyone’s basic rights have all been infringed upon. We are humans, we have the right and freedom to live our lives in an environment where we are respected. Regardless of our identity or ideology, no government or person should infringe upon the rights of others and take away their freedom.” Mara added, “This issue is very important. We must help others.” They signed the petition to call for an end to the persecution and the forced organ harvesting.
The Organ Harvesting Is Sad and Outrageous
It was the first time that Quim Oronich heard of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. He said, “I did not know about this persecution and I cannot imagine that such a horrible thing occurred. What is most alarming is that their [Falun Dafa practitioners] organs are taken without their consent. This kind of thing should not have happened and this is really saddening and outrageous.” He talked to a practitioner for a long time. After he signed the petition he took some truth-clarification materials. He said he will share the information with his family and friends.
After learning about the persecution that is still ongoing in China, Feliu said, “This is really sad. Honestly, I never thought that such things happened. Thank you all for telling this to people like me. Every one of us should learn about this.” She said she was drawn by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and wanted to learn Falun Dafa. She then signed the petition and said that she will tell her family and friends about the persecution.
