(Minghui.org) In the fall and winter of 2024, we began promoting Shen Yun performances in our local area. As Falun Dafa practitioners, we deeply felt Master’s compassionate call and encouragement to his disciples. We gathered together and went door to door hanging Shen Yun flyers, and we also experienced the enthusiasm and anticipation of many people.
Waiting for an Angel
A woman stood by the roadside, deep in thought and looking around. When she saw a Dafa practitioner approaching, she greeted her. The practitioner introduced Shen Yun to the woman as she listened quietly, tears streaming down her face. She embraced the practitioner and cried, “I don’t know why I’ve been standing here in the cold morning for so long. I don’t know what I’m waiting for. My heart feels so heavy and I want to cry. Now I understand—I am waiting for an angel, I am waiting for Shen Yun! I’ll go buy a ticket right away!”
We Can Finally See Shen Yun!
One of our practitioners saw a young couple about to leave their home and immediately ran over to hand them a Shen Yun flyer. Upon seeing it, she exclaimed joyfully and called out to her husband, “You can finally see Shen Yun!”
The man rushed over to take the materials, his face flushed with excitement, as he repeatedly said, “Thank you! This is wonderful!” The woman excitedly told the practitioner that last year, her husband had been on a business trip and couldn’t return in time to see Shen Yun. She had often heard family members and friends who had seen Shen Yun praise it as “so beautiful!” “so touching!” and “so awe-inspiring!” She felt deeply regretful and kept repeating how she didn’t know if she would ever have the chance to see Shen Yun again.
“You’re an angel for bringing Shen Yun to us! This is amazing!” The woman said to her husband, “Quickly show the flyer to your family and friends so they can buy tickets!” The man humorously held the flyer to his chest, said “No!” and ran back home. His wife was so amused by his actions that she bent over with laughter. Seeing this, the practitioner gave the woman a few more flyers. The woman happily called her husband’s name and waved the flyers for him to see.
Spreading the Word About Shen Yun
Some chain stores do not allow advertising posters to be displayed. However, with the desire to reach more people, fellow practitioners entered the store to see if there would be any opportunity to display a poster.
When the two handsome young store clerks learned the purpose of their visit, one of them immediately said, “I know Shen Yun is fantastic. I’ll buy two tickets to watch it with my wife.” He immediately took out his phone and purchased the tickets following the instructions in the flyer.
The other employee said he wanted to go with his brother. When we asked if we could post the advertisement, the employee readily helped the practitioner find the best spot to post it. He also said, “Can you give us more flyers? I want to join you in spreading the word about Shen Yun!”
His Eyes Welled Up with Tears
After the snow, the ground was slippery and the wind was strong, but we still insisted on going out to distribute flyers door-to-door. When the practitioner arrived at a courtyard, the ground was too slippery to move forward. At this time, a young man got out of a car in the courtyard and shouted, “Be careful, the ground is too slippery, don’t come over here!”
When he saw the Shen Yun flyers in the hands of one of our practitioners, he slid over on the ice to take one, listening attentively as the practitioner explained about the show. When he realized that the person handing out the flyers was an elderly woman, he was deeply moved, and his eyes welled up with tears. He spoke softly and comfortingly, holding the practitioner’s arm and helping her turn around slowly, guiding her step by step out of the icy area.
The young man did slip and stumble a few times as he helped the practitioner. However, after that, he stood there for a long time and waved goodbye to the elderly practitioner.
His Expression Changed!
A luxury car was parked in front of a mansion, with a man sitting in the driver’s seat. A fellow practitioner walked over and knocked on the window. The man looked over expressionlessly; perhaps the wind and snow were too strong for him to roll down the window. The practitioner held up a Shen Yun flyer for him to see. He glanced at it briefly and waved his hand to indicate he didn’t want it. The practitioner smiled and waved good-bye.
The practitioner continued to walk to the next house. Due to the strong wind and the steep slope, she was forced to return back to the previous spot. She waited there for the wind to die down before attempting to climb the slope again, repeating this several times until she was finally able to hang the flyer on the door handle.
As she turned around and carefully made her way down the slope, she saw the luxury car slowly driving over and stopping at the end of the drive way. The man looked concerned, staring intently at the practitioner, his expression no longer cold. He rolled down the window, and when the practitioner approached the car, he silently took the flyer. The practitioner sincerely said, “I welcome you to come to watch Shen Yun!” and continued on to the next house.
After hanging up another flyer, she turned around and saw that the man in the car was still looking at his. When she passed by and turned to another house, he slowly drove up again and followed her, as if worried that she would slip and fall. She regretted not being able to communicate with him in English. Finally, she waved good-bye, and the man nodded and drove away.
The Most Unique and Beautiful Cheerleading Squad
Three young men stood in front of a garage door, talking. A practitioner politely greeted them and shared information about the Shen Yun show. After seeing the flyer, they happily informed the practitioner that they were familiar with Shen Yun and that it was terrific. They agreed to go and watch it, and gave the practitioner a thumbs-up to thank him for bringing such good news on such a snowy day.
As the practitioner left, they waved goodbye repeatedly. Due to the heavy snow and wind, the practitioner was unable to proceed on his way and had to retreat several times. The young men ran down to the side of the road, jumping up and down, waving the Shen Yun flyer, and shouting, “Go Shen Yun! You’re the best! Thank you! We support you!” This was truly the most unique and beautiful cheerleading squad.
A Smart White Dog
When a fellow practitioner arrived at a house, she saw a large white dog barking at her in the front yard. Assuming the dog was on a leash, she ignored it and continued toward the door. Suddenly, the dog bolted out and began barking ferociously at her. Startled, she turned and walked away, but felt regret. She thought to herself, “Shen Yun is here to save people. All beings are waiting to see Shen Yun and be saved. I can’t let a dog scare me away. I must go back.”
Upon thinking this, she immediately turned around, pointed to the Shen Yun flyer, and said to the dog, “This is Shen Yun. This show has come to save people. You want me to deliver this to your master’s home, right?” The dog seemed to understand and stopped barking, staring intently at this practitioner. She continued, “If that’s the case, I’ll deliver it right away, okay?”
The dog seemed to understand and walked toward his owner’s front door, allowing the practitioner to follow and hang the flyer on the doorknob. When she turned around, she noticed the dog’s large head right behind her, quietly watching her. She said to the dog, “Remember that Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good! Do you understand?” The dog looked at the practitioner gently and kindly, as if understanding and wagged his tail.
There are many more amazing stories just like these; which are so very touching and endearing.
