(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Nine Practitioners’ Appeal Hearing Scheduled
Nine practitioners, including Ms. Liu Cuixian, Ms. Liu Xiaoping, Ms. Zheng Cuilan, Ms. Ma Ling, Ms. Yang Huifang, Ms. Li Huanzhen, Ms. Zhu Yongzhen, Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen, and Mr. Bi Cheng, were sentenced to fifteen months to four and a half years by the Xishan District Court in early May 2025. They appealed with the Kunming City Intermediate Court, which scheduled a hearing of their appeal case for July 29, 2025 at the Xishan District Court.
2. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Jiang Shunbao Faces Trial
Mr. Jiang Shunbao, 70, was arrested by Luannan County Domestic Security Division officers on February 8, 2025. The Luannan County Court scheduled his hearing for August 6, 2025.
3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunping Detained
Ms. Liu Chunping, 85, was arrested at home by Dongguan Police Station officers on July 21, 2025. She is being held in a detention center.
4. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wu Xiaoxia Detained
Ms. Wu Xiaoxia was arrested by Baota Road Police Station officers on July 19, 2025 when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Zhenjiang City Lockup.
5. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Xiaoxin Detained
Xiaoxin, family name unknown, was arrested on July 18, 2025 for distributing Falun Gong flyers and put into Shuiku Road Detention Center in the nearby Weifang City.
6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Xuzhen Detained
Ms. Zheng Xuzhen was about to help her elderly mother take a shower at noon on July 1, 2025, when more than ten officers from Heng’an Police Station broke in to their shared home. They arrested Ms. Zheng and confiscated her Falun Gong books, DVDs, desktop computer, laptop, cell phones, printers, and paper currency printed with Falun Gong messages. She was detained for five days and released on July 6.
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Guijuan Imprisoned
Ms. Yang Guijuan of Yongqing County was sentenced to a year in prison by Tongxiang City Court in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, on May 16, 2025. Her appeal was rejected by the Jiaxing City Intermediate Court. She has been admitted to the Zhejiang Province Women’s Prison.
8. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lyu Shuang Arrested
Ms. Lyu Shuang, wife of Mr. Lyu Qianli, was arrested at home by captain Zhang Shiguo and officers of Tonghe County Domestic Security Division, as well as director Zhang Dawei of Nonghe Town Police Station, on the morning of July 24, 2025. They seized her Falun Gong books and a notebook computer. She was taken to Harbin City for detention. Tonghe County is under the administration of Harbin.
9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Geng Guiqin Arrested
Ms. Geng Guiqin of Shenbei New District was arrested on July 21, 2025 for mailing letters with Falun Gong facts to the police, prosecutors, and court personnel. The police seized from her around 100 copies of Falun Gong books, three pictures of the founder of Falun Gong, and some Falun Gong flyers. She was released around 6 p.m.
10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guiling Detained
Ms. Liu Guiling, 61, was arrested by Baimashan Police Station officers on June 12, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Jinan City Detention Center.
11. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Fenghua Faces Indictment
Ms. Wang Fenghua, 55, was arrested by Yuanbaoshan Police Station officers on the evening of June 20, 2025. She is being held in the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center. The Yuanbaoshan District Procuratorate has approved her arrest.
