(Minghui.org) In the early spring of 2024, I was illegally arrested by the police. I wasn’t afraid at the time, and I clarified the truth of Dafa to them on the way to the police station.
When the police asked me questions, I refused to answer. A policeman said, “Tell us something.”
I said, “All the Falun Dafa books are there, read them yourself.”
He said, “I don’t understand.”
I thought in my heart: “What are Dafa disciples here for? Are we here to validate how determined we are? Are we here to save sentient beings? Are the police also waiting to be saved?”
So, I told them that Falun Dafa teaches people to be good, and that it is legal to practice it. Article 36 of the Constitution clearly stipulates that citizens have the freedom to believe or not believe, and no individual or group may force citizens to believe or not believe. Article 35 of the Constitution clearly stipulates that citizens have freedom of speech, publication, assembly, association, procession, and demonstration. The General Administration of Press and Publication has abolished the ban on the publication of Falun Dafa books. My belief in Falun Dafa is legal, it is also legal for me to own Falun Dafa books, and it is illegal for the police to abduct me.
I heard that there were many practitioners who were harassed and arrested that day. I was sent to a detention center in the evening. I met several practitioners there, all of whom were arrested on the same day. We each looked inward for the loopholes in our cultivation, shared our understanding of the Fa, and sent forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the evil.
There was only one person in the room who didn’t practice Falun Dafa, and that person was sickly, full of sorrow, taking medicine every day, and was taken by guards to see a doctor from time to time. One day, when she came back from a doctor’s office, she sat on the bed crying and didn’t eat. I saw that she was quite pitiful, so I kindly tried to pursuade her to eat. She stopped crying and reluctantly ate some food.
After that, she told us about her life. I comforted her and took the opportunity to tell her about Dafa and the persecution. She really understood and quit the evil Chinese Communist Party. She also said anxiously, “Some of my family members are Party members, what should we do? Can you help them to quit the Party too?”
I said, “This is a very serious matter, and they must agree to it themselves.”
We then recited Master’s poem:
“Dispelling Your Confusion
Though we all long for happinessAdversity more commonly accompanies usHowever brave or bold we may beOr however lowly or capableDestiny has its own designs for usOur task is to abide by goodness without complaintYou have forgotten the hope and wish that brought you hereMay my song help to set free your heartMay my song help to dispel your confusion”(Hong Yin IV)
Her eyes suddenly lit up and she said, “This poem is good, I want to learn it, too.” So, I taught it to her sentence by sentence. Her mental state also changed.
Later, she memorized the Fa with us every day. Since then, she has been a different person, her eyes were energetic, her face was fair, and her health improved. She smiled happily, became lively and cheerful. She could sing and dance. We taught her to sing the song Dedu: “Be saved, be saved, please don’t miss this chance again!”
A fellow practitioner said, “Do you know that you have escaped death again and again just to connect with Dafa today? Go home and live a good life, and cherish your fate.”
She also asked me for advice on how to deal with some family conflicts. I said, “If you think about the problem from someone else’s point of view, you can deal with it well.” I also told her examples of how I thought about others after practicing Dafa, and she was very impressed after hearing it.
She was very kind, and every time I started to clean the room, she snatched the rag and didn’t let me do it. On the morning that I was released, she gave me a hug. For breakfast, she gave me her only egg and said sincerely, “Eat it, if you don’t eat it, I will feel upset.” I didn’t want to make her sad and accepted her kindness.
I am grateful for Master’s great compassion and amazed at the preciousness of lives who have been saved by Dafa.
