(Minghui.org) Although Shen Yun Performing Arts is sharing pre-communist Chinese culture and values with the world, the company has not yet been able to perform in China. However, a number of theatergoers of Chinese descent outside of China have caught the performance in their locales and expressed feelings of pride and being blessed.

Wu Mingde, a senior banker and political and economic commentator from Hong Kong, saw Shen Yun in Vancouver, Canada, on April 8. This was his second time seeing a Shen Yun performance.

“I suddenly realized today that the values behind Shen Yun are in fact kindness and truthfulness,” he said.

“[These values] are all passing on the hope of our future. I hope to see Shen Yun blossoming in China’s 23 provinces and nearly 700 cities in the future,” he said.

Lu Dong, the former president of a Chamber of Commerce and a former speaker for Christian Democracy, saw Shen Yun in New York City on April 9. He saw two consecutive Shen Yun performances.

“When you truly understand Shen Yun and feel Shen Yun’s charm, you will have a feeling of seeing through the vanity of the mundane world and coming to sudden enlightenment,” he said.

“I feel that this joy is God’s grace.

“You suddenly obtain the message from the divine and the outer world. You then enter a kind of joy of enjoying the moment and being with the divine. There is only joy and peace, and no worries or troubles,” he said.

Columnist Yang Maosen saw Shen Yun in New York City on April 4.

“Shen Yun is sending the power of the divine to people. So you have to watch Shen Yun with a devoted and respectful heart,” he said.

“If you go see a regular performance, you are only enjoying arts. But you have to bring your enlightenment quality to see Shen Yun. You have to understand it and truly comprehend its meaning – how the divine guides, how to conduct, how to act, how to stop the evil ultimately, and how to promote kindness – this is Shen Yun. It is kindness from inside out. Only kindness can fill this world with peace and hope,” he said.

“Artistry and Justice”

Paralegal Betty Hong saw Shen Yun in New York City on April 11. She has been watching Shen Yun since 2006.

“I think this is a very good program. It contains both artistry and justice. I come every year and I usually buy the first row seats, the most expensive ones,” she said.

“I think Shen Yun is truly magical and matches the name. After watching it, I myself feel very energetic and full of justice, and never pessimistic. Even during the most difficult times, I am able to break through the challenges,” she said.

She suggested bringing children and the elderly to see the show together. “The elder’s health becomes better after watching it. My mom is 92 years old and I always bring her to watch it, every year,” she said.

She said that watching Shen Yun not only brought her family blessings, but also positive energy to her law firm. “I feel like things that other people can’t do can all be done by our law firm. Things that other people can do can 100% be done by us. I feel that Shen Yun is supporting and helping us behind us. It is an invisible force that is supporting us,” she said.

“We are Chinese. We should feel proud of our arts and culture, and all go support and watch Shen Yun,” she said.

Wealth planner Cao Di saw Shen Yun in Vancouver on April 10. She has been attending Shen Yun performances every year since 2006, when she was studying in Paris, France.

“I feel very proud. We should promote these more,” she said.

“The most touching part was probably the opening. When it opened, I heard the two people next to me saying, ‘Wow, so beautiful.’ It really was beautiful. The opening was great and very touching... I had tears in my eyes at the time,” she said.

Ms. Cao said that she agreed with Falun Gong’s principles. “I think the principles are very correct and I support them,” she said.
