1. [Beijing] Court Hearing Scheduled for Ms. Fu Xiuqin’s Pension Case
2. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runmiao Taken to Prison

1. [Beijing] Court Hearing Scheduled for Ms. Fu Xiuqin’s Pension Case
Ms. Fu Xiuqin’s pension has been suspended by the local social security office since 2022. She filed a complaint against the agency, and the case was scheduled to be heard by the Shijingshan District Court on June 10, 2026.
2. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runmiao Taken to Prison
Ms. Liu Runmiao, 34, was arrested in March 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was tried by Yingze District Court on August 14, 2025 and sentenced to three years and three months in prison with a 5,000-yuan fine.
Ms. Liu appealed with the Taiyuan City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict in February 2026. She was transferred from the Taiyuan City Fourth Women’s Detention Center to Shanxi Province Women’s Prison on June 4. She was placed under a two-month “strict management” period and denied visits or phone calls with her family.
3. [Wu’an City, Hebei Province] Mr. Miao Zhiqiang Detained
Mr. Miao Zhiqiang was reported to the police in early May 2026 by a taxi driver for talking to him about Falun Gong. Officers from Chengguan Police Station arrested him at home on May 14. He was given a ten-day administrative detention.
4. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Harassed
Practitioner Liu was harassed at home on May 13, 2026 by eight agents of the Leping Town 610 Office, Chiping District Police Department, and Leping Town Police Station. They broke in by scaling the fence in his front yard. Several of his Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.
5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tao Wenzhen Released on Bail
Ms. Tao Wenzhen, 68, was arrested on May 9, 2026. She was placed under administrative detention for 15 days. When her family went to the detention center to pick her up at the end of her detention, the police refused to release her. The detention caused her health to deteriorate rapidly. She kept vomiting and her weight dropped from nearly 170 lbs to about 130 lbs in less than four weeks. The authorities finally released her on bail on June 5.
