(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ten Practitioners Appeal Wrongful Sentencing
2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lei Facing Trial
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhongjiu Detained
4. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Harassed
5. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Arrested
6. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Ming Harassed
1. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ten Practitioners Appeal Wrongful Sentencing
Mr. Zhou Shuyou, Mr. Liu Haitao, Ms. Lai Chunlian, Mr. Wang Guozhong, Mr. Wang Zexing, Ms. Hu Mingli, Ms. Hu Fengju, Ms. Huang Yuping, and Ms. Li Shuqin were sentenced to prison on April 23, 2026, in the Wanghua District Court. They appealed with the Fushun City Intermediate Court on June 12, 2026, and are awaiting a response.
2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lei Facing Trial
Ms. Zhang Lei was arrested at home by Zhenzhu Road Police Station officers on March 2, 2026. Her home was ransacked. She has been held at the Dandong City Detention Center ever since and was scheduled to appear in the Zhen’an District Court on June 17, 2026.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhongjiu Detained
Mr. Wang Zhongjiu was placed under a 15-day detention by Beijing Street Police Station officers on May 12, 2026, for mailing four letters to the Xigang District Police Department.
4. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Yu Zhixin, in his 70s; Ms. Wang Li, Ms. Deng Chuxian, and Ms. Jiang Youling, all three in their 80s; and Ms. Meng, 90, were harassed in their respective homes on May 21, 2026.
Ms. Jiang Youling was harassed by eight officers from the Fangzhuang Police Station and neighborhood committee. They searched her home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. They also ordered her to sign a piece of paper and threatened to arrest her if she refused to do so.
5. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Arrested
Guo Zhenge, Zhang Wenying, and Yin Guilin (genders unknown) were arrested on June 11, 2026, by officers from the Qianjiadian Town Police Station and the Yanqing District Police Department. Many of their Falun Gong books were confiscated. All three were released in the evening.
6. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Ming Harassed
Mr. Li Ming was harassed at home by several officers from the Dawenkou Town Police Station on March 2, 2026. They took photo of him without his permission.
