(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wan Xuxing Arrested and Facing Prison Sentence
2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ying Detained

1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wan Xuxing Arrested and Facing Prison Sentence
Ms. Wan Xuxing, 67, a retired teacher, has faced non-stop harassment since October 2024. She was summoned by the Linshu County Procuratorate on May 9, 2026. Two weeks later, on May 25, 2026, the Linshu County Court ordered her to appear the following day to pick up her indictment. She went to the courthouse as requested, only to be arrested and taken to the Linyi City Detention Center. The Linshu County Court held a hearing on June 15, 2026. A second hearing was scheduled for June 23.
2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ying Detained
Ms. Wang Ying and Ms. Li Minhua were arrested around June 15, 2026, for taking down poster boards in the Hubin Park that defamed Falun Gong. The arresting officers from the Shuangtaizi District Police Station ransacked their homes. Ms. Wang is being held at the Panjin City Detention Center. Ms. Li was released due to a medical condition.
3. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Cao Guozhen Detained
Mr. Cao Guozhen, around 54, was arrested at home in September 2025, by the Lingang Police Department officers. He is being held at the Junan County Detention Center.
4. [Suizhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiang Hongyan Forced to Live Away from Home
Ms. Xiang Hongyan was arrested while shopping at a super market on June 10, 2026, by officers from the Xihe Town Police Station. They took her to the Suizhou City Detention Center, but she was denied admission due to high blood pressure. After she was released, the police still threatened to detain her. She was forced to live away from home to avoid the persecution.
5. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Xuecai Arrested
Mr. Zhang Xuecai, 73, was reported for distributing Falun Gong flyers in a community on the evening of May 6, 2026. He was arrested at home on June 3 by officers from the Xiling Police Station. They ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and printouts. He was taken to the Xiling Police Department for interrogation. They gave him a six-day detention, and allowed him to serve it at home given his advanced age.
6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Xiaoshui Arrested
Mr. Yang Xiaoshui was arrested on June 18, 2026, while putting up Falun Gong posters. He was take to the Kaiping Police Station. After interrogating him, the police ransacked his home at 2 a.m., and confiscated his Falun Gong books and other items. He was then released.
7. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Qirong Harassed
Ms. Jiang Qirong was harassed at home on June 17, 2026, by the Kaixuan Police Station officers and two community clerks. They took photos of her against her will.
8. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Liang Yuhua Released on Bail Pending Trial
Ms. Liang Yuhua was arrested on November 2, 2025, in a police sweep. She was recently released on bail by the Xixia District Procuratorate.
9. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Aifang and Mr. Ren Tao Detained
Ms. Cao Aifang was arrested on June 15, 2026, by the Shiliang Police Station officers, after surveillance captured her mailing Falun Gong information. Police ransacked her home and confiscated two Falun Gong books. She was held at the Zhangjiagou Detention Center and released on June 19.
Mr. Ren Tao was arrested at work by the Xinjia Police Station officers on June 15, 2026, also for mailing letters containing Falun Gong messages. He was detained for seven days.
10. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sui Guanghua Released
Ms. Sui Guanghua was released on June 19, 2026, after completing a one-year prison term.
11. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Baofu and Others Detained
Ms. Wu Lianzhi and Ms. Yan Yinhua visited Mr. Wang Baofu and his wife, Ms. Zhou Huaiju, on March 26, 2026. After they left, officers from the Gucheng Town Police Station broke in, ransacked the place, and seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, computers, cell phones, and paper-cut window decorations with the words “Falun Dafa is good.”
Ms. Wu and Ms. Yan’s homes were ransacked almost at the same time. Their electrical cars, cell phones, media players, Falun Gong books, and other items were confiscated.
All four practitioners were interrogated at the police station. They were taken to the Guan County Hospital for physical exam the next day. Ms. Wu was released shortly after. Ms. Yan was given six days at the Tianmayuan Lookup, while Mr. Wang and Ms. Zhou were both detained there for seven days.
