(Minghui.org) I am a female Falun Dafa practitioner. I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. I am 72 years old and retired from a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) department. I have a brother who is a policeman. He was once the director of a police station.
My Brother Is Kind by Nature
My brother is simple, quiet, honest, and kind at home. He respects our parents and gets along well with our siblings. He and his wife love each other. He doesn’t have bad habits. Our mother passed away at the age of 62. Our father married again. Our stepmother looked after our father well. My brother and I go to see our stepmother on holidays with gifts to thank her. My uncle believes in Buddhism. He praised us for looking after our stepmother. He said, “You are remarkable. You are doing a big kind thing and will be blessed.” People who know my brother said that he didn’t fit the profile of being a policeman.”
My brother worked hard and was reliable. His manager relied heavily on him. He became the director of a police station without any “connections.” After the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, he protected a Falun Dafa practitioner due to his kind nature, though he didn’t quite know Falun Dafa.
At the beginning of the persecution, the local police department mobilized policemen and surrounded the home of the volunteer coordinator of the local Falun Dafa assistance center. The director of the domestic security division and director of the police station (my brother) went into the coordinator’s home and talked to her, and she clarified the truth to them for more than an hour. My brother understood what she said and rang the director of the local police department. He said, “She [the coordinator] didn’t do bad things, and didn’t violate any law, why are we arresting her?” The director said that my brother and his colleague could leave if they wanted to. Such a soul-stirring battle between good and evil thus ended.
Superficially, my brother’s kindness played a role and protected the practitioner. In reality, the coordinator did the right thing and walked her path well. She didn’t have fear and just wanted to validate Dafa. She dismantled the evil elements behind the policemen. Master protected his practitioners with compassion.
My Brother Missed Opportunities to Quit the CCP
I am the eldest of my siblings. My younger siblings respect me very much. All my extended family members have witnessed how much I changed after I started practicing Falun Dafa. When I clarified the truth to them, they all believed what I told them. Dozens of my relatives have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. But my younger brother didn’t listen to me and didn’t quit the CCP. I was not discouraged. It might be that it was not his time yet. I believed that one day he would be saved.
The CCP became more rampant in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioners were arrested, beaten, detained in forced labor camps, and sentenced to jail. My brother followed orders from above and participated in the persecution of local practitioners and committed sins against practitioners.
The List of Perpetrators
A practitioner was reported to the police when she was distributing truth-clarification materials in April 2014. She was arrested by the police from the domestic security division. Local practitioners cooperated with each other; some sent forth righteous thoughts; some went to the domestic security division to demand the release of the practitioner and clarified the truth to the police there; some suggested that we write letters and make pamphlets to expose the persecution. With the help of the practitioners in another city, the practitioner hired a lawyer from Beijing.
None of our local practitioners had ever written articles to expose the persecution and rescue practitioners. We felt it was a difficult task and invited a practitioner from another city to help us write an article.
This female practitioner was in her sixties and from a village. She had little formal education but firmly believed in Master and Falun Dafa. She walked on the path Master had arranged for her. She told us that one day she had really wished that she could visit the Minghui website and write articles. Master saw her pure heart and her wish to validate the Fa and save sentient beings, and bestowed wisdom and abilities upon her. She was able to visit the website, type letters using a computer, and write various articles and publish them on the Minghui website.
I was a bit surprised to see this practitioner and wondered how she could help us write articles. She first asked us about how this practitioner was arrested and then told us where we should start to write the article to expose the persecution. We understood and were touched and amazed.
Several local practitioners helped do some minor work for her. I typed the article on the computer when she was talking. We coordinated well. She taught me how to write and encouraged me to write articles, especially about the persecution.
I said, “I only have a secondary vocational school certificate with a science major. I am afraid of writing articles. It is hard for me to even write a work summary, let alone writing articles.”
She encouraged me and said, “I trust you are capable. As long as you have the heart to do things, Master will strengthen you. Master is omnipotent.”
Her encouragement reinforced my confidence. I realized through Fa study that Master requires us to expose the persecution. It is our responsibility and mission. I felt that there was a force that was strengthening me and encouraging me. I said to Master in my heart, “I can do it. I am capable. I can do it for sure.” I pleaded with Master to strengthen me and bestow me with wisdom and courage.
Three practitioners formed a temporary team to write articles. I bought a laptop and visited the persecuted practitioners in their homes. I wrote drafts first. The practitioners reviewed the details of their cases for accuracy. I then edited the articles and sent them to the Minghui website.
Some practitioners hesitated to tell me their stories. I then learned that my brother had been involved in the arrest of these practitioners, as he was the director of the local police station. They were worried about this and didn’t want to tell me directly.
I told these practitioners, “Please do not worry. He is him and I am me. I only walk on the path Master has arranged for me. It is our responsibility and mission to expose whoever persecutes practitioners. We let the people know the persecution and recognize the nature of the CCP so they will believe that Master is innocent, and they can thus be saved. Dafa practitioners are framed by the CCP.”
After my sharing, fellow practitioners saw that I had let go of sentimentality toward my family members. They no longer felt a psychological burden and actively cooperated with me. I was able to write articles to expose the persecution of practitioners. My brother’s name appeared on the list of perpetrators on the Minghui website.
This was a process that my brother might have had to go through. I felt that I had done what a Falun Dafa practitioner should do. I didn’t have any other choice but to walk on the path Master has arranged for me.
My Brother Awakened After Receiving Retribution
At beginning of 2021, the whole police department system launched a campaign to reexamine employees’ history going 30 years back. Everyone, especially directors at and above middle level, needed to check their history for any misconduct and be whistleblowers. Everyone felt the pressure. My brother was not spared. Someone reported him. He didn’t have money to bribe supervisors nor did he have any connections. The pressure was huge and he became depressed. I think this was retribution he received for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. What goes around comes around.
Under this circumstance, he thought of Master and believed that Master could save him. He rang me and asked me to come to see him because he was sick. I bought some fruit and went to see him in a hurry. I was very surprised when I saw him. He was skinny with grey hair and a helpless look. He smiled when he saw me.
I clarified the truth about the persecution to him and his wife (she had already quit the CCP). I told them that they should repeat the phrases “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” sincerely. My brother learned the truth and saw through the nature of the CCP. He agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations with an alias. I felt happy for him.
One day he came to my home. I said, “Out of ignorance, you allowed the CCP to control you. You didn’t know the truth about the persecution and were misled by the CCP’s lies. You carried out the CCP’s policies, demands, and orders to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, and you committed sin against Falun Dafa and its practitioners. Please kowtow to Master and express your deep remorse for what you have done. Master saves all sentient beings and only looks at your heart. He will solve the issue with compassion and give you an opportunity to redeem yourself.” My brother listened and did what I told him to do. He started to often recite the phrases. As a result, he stayed safe during this political campaign.
His wife had an operation for breast cancer in early 2023. She couldn’t lift her arm after the surgery. She felt a lot of pressure. I told her that only Master could save her and suggested she start practicing Falun Dafa. She agreed. My brother supported her decision.
She quickly learned the five sets of the exercises and practiced the exercises almost every day. Sometimes she listened to Master’s audio lectures. I bought a small speaker for her so that she could listen to Master’s audio lectures and the exercise music. My younger sister (also a practitioner) bought an MP5 for her.
My younger brother and his wife believe in Master and Falun Dafa and have chosen a beautiful future for themselves. They have been blessed. His wife recovered from cancer, and her test results returned to normal. My brother is also in good health and is happy every day. His family is bathed in the boundless Buddha grace. Thank you, Master, for your compassion and saving grace!
