(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 while I attended college. My homeroom teacher told me that after she practiced for one month her chronic back pain disappeared, and her health improved. Seeing that I was thin and often in poor health, she suggested that I practice. She invited me to her home to watch the videos of Master demonstrating the exercises. She also encouraged me to read Falun Dafa’s main book, Zhuan Falun.
I accepted her invitation. While watching the exercise instruction video, I felt a powerful energy. I thought, “Master is so righteous. This practice is truly extraordinary.” After I did the exercises several times, I obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun and I eagerly began reading it.
The principles explained in the book deeply impressed me. I understood that Falun Dafa teaches people to improve their moral character, elevate their realm of thought, and cultivate while living in ordinary society. I felt that this was exactly what I had been looking for. From then on, I followed Falun Dafa’s principles.
After I graduated in 1997 I found a practice site in my hometown. I studied the Fa, did the exercises with other practitioners, and introduced Falun Dafa to people.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Dafa in July 1999, my determination to practice did not waver. Together with fellow practitioners, I clarified the truth about the persecution, exposed the CCP’s lies, and helped people understand the facts so they could make the right choice for their future.
Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials in a Village
One evening, three of us went to a rural village to distribute information about the persecution. One practitioner and I covered one street while the other practitioner distributed materials along a different street.
We soon heard dogs barking where the other practitioner was distributing materials. My companion and I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference that prevented people from learning the truth and we silently recited Master’s Fa.
The barking soon stopped. When we met the other practitioner she said she stopped distributing materials because of the barking dogs. The three of us continued distributing materials while we sent forth righteous thoughts. This time, the dogs remained quiet. When we passed homes with dogs we could hear them moving inside their yards, but none of them barked. We were able to finish distributing all of the materials without interruption.
The next day, my younger sister, who lived in the village, told me that many villagers carefully read the materials that morning. Since different households received different pamphlets, people exchanged them with one another so everyone could read them. Many said, “What Falun Dafa says makes sense. The television has been deceiving ordinary people. Falun Dafa is good.”
Working Together to Distribute the Nine Commentaries
After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published practitioners in our area coordinated to distribute it throughout the surrounding villages.
Another practitioner and I spent an entire day riding a motorcycle through every village in one township to familiarize ourselves with the routes. After we came home we drew a map from memory so that we wouldn’t skip any villages.
Because there were only a few practitioners in the rural areas, more than 20 practitioners from eight nearby townships participated. After sending forth righteous thoughts for 30 minutes one evening, we loaded a farm vehicle with copies of the Nine Commentaries and set out.
We worked in pairs. Each pair was assigned one or two villages depending on the number of households. At each stop two practitioners got off the vehicle, distributed the materials according to the route, and waited at a designated location after they finished.
After dropping off all the teams the driver and I distributed materials in two additional villages before we returned to pick up everyone.
The vehicle ran out of fuel while we drove home. Even the spare gasoline we brought was used. Dawn was approaching, but we were still only halfway home. We asked Master for help.
A practitioner found a nearby gas station. Everyone was grateful. We realized that the vehicle stopped at exactly the right place and we returned home safely.
Over the course of two nights, we distributed materials throughout the township.
I later visited a relative who told me he received a copy of the Nine Commentaries. After reading it carefully, he said the historical events described in the book were true because his father personally experienced the political campaigns launched by the CCP, and members of his family suffered during those years. The book helped him better understand the CCP’s true nature. He was a village official and a Party member. After we talked, he agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Clarifying the Truth at a Hospital
In addition to distributing materials, I clarified the truth face-to-face.
One day I was waiting outside a hospital laboratory to receive my test results. The woman sitting beside me said she visited the hospital twice, but doctors could not determine what was wrong with her. Her husband suggested seeking help from folk spiritual practices if the doctors could not help her.
She said she didn’t want to do that and she was worried.
I felt she wanted to hear about Falun Dafa. I explained what Falun Dafa is, why the CCP persecutes it, the Party’s history, the Hidden Character Stone in Guizhou Province, how Falun Dafa is practiced around the world, the moral decline in today’s society, and the importance of withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
She listened carefully and agreed to withdraw from the Party organizations she had joined. She also asked whether her two school-aged children could withdraw. I explained that they first needed to understand the truth and make their own decision.
She said she wanted to learn how to practice Falun Dafa. I told her that she could find practitioners near her home who would teach her the exercises. She repeatedly thanked me and said, “When I return home, I want to learn Falun Dafa.”
She chose a bright future, and I was sincerely happy.
Looking back, I realize that Master arranged everything. As Fa-rectification continues to advance I treasure this precious opportunity to cultivate even more. I will study the Fa well, strengthen my righteous thoughts, cherish the time Master has extended for us, and continue working with fellow practitioners to save more people.
