(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cui Zhanmei and Ms. Ma Feiqin Arrested
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lili Released from Prison
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners and a Family Member Arrested; One Harassed
5. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pang Jiancai and Ms. Zhang Hongyan Harassed
6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Zhiqiu Hospitalized for Over a Month After Police Harassment
7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yan Released
1. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cui Zhanmei and Ms. Ma Feiqin Arrested
Ms. Cui Zhanmei and Ms. Ma Feiqin were reported to the police on June 15, 2026, while talking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated all Falun Gong books. They are being held at the Zhangjiakou City Lockup Center.
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Practitioners Gao Suqin, Feng Fengxin, Zhao Jinxian, and Li Baorong, were harassed by Cui Jianlong and other officers from Xing’an Police Station on June 17, 2026. The police attempted to take pictures of the practitioners, but none of them complied.
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lili Released From Prison
Ms. Liu Lili was arrested on July 3, 2019. She was later sentenced to five and a half years in prison. She has been released from the Hebei Province Women’s Prison on June 19, 2026.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners and a Family Member Arrested; One Harassed
Ms. Wang Xiuyun, Mr. Jia Hongjiang, his wife who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, Ms. Zhao Manru, and a practitioner surnamed Jiang were arrested on the evening of June 9, 2026. Except Jiang, whose situation isn’t clear, the other individuals aforementioned were released by the next afternoon.
The police also attempted to arrest Ms. Zhao Huaru, but relented due to strong protest from her family.
5. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pang Jiancai and Ms. Zhang Hongyan Harassed
Ms. Pang Jiancai and Ms. Zhang Hongyan were harassed on June 16, 2026. The police forcibly took pictures of the two practitioners.
6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Zhiqiu Hospitalized for Over a Month After Police Harassment
Ms. Liu Zhiqiu, 79, who lives by herself, heard a knock on her door shortly after 7 p.m. on May 18, 2026. She thought it was her son. She opened the door and was terrified to see two officers from Dayao Police Station. She froze on the spot and couldn’t move one side of her body. Her son took her to the hospital the next day after her symptoms worsened. After over a month of treatment, she was still unable to get out of bed or take care of herself. Her left hand was severely swollen. She also suffered from severe insomnia. Her family had to hire a personal care assistant to look after her around the clock.
7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yan Released
Ms. Liu Yan has been released from the Laixi District Lockup.
