(Minghui.org) It’s been 27 years since Beijing launched the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners in Germany held peaceful protests in front of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin and Chinese Consulates in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Munich, to expose and raise public awareness of this crime against humanity.

Their peaceful activities in many parts of Germany to raise the awareness of the persecution attracted much attention. The activities included practitioners in Berlin holding a protest despite the rain. The police in Hamburg praised their reputation for holding peaceful activities to end the ongoing persecution. Practitioners in Düsseldorf disclosed a list of Falun Gong practitioners who recently died because of the persecution. The protest in front of the Chinese Consulate in Munich received local radio coverage. Twelve German political figures sent letters in support of the practitioners’ efforts.

Hamburg Police: Falun Gong Is Known for Its Peaceful Protests

Practitioners from Hamburg and nearby cities held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Consulate on July 19, 2026. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, displayed posters, and exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

For years, practitioners protested every Sunday in front of the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg. During the event on July 19, five staff members repeatedly tried to convince the police that the practitioners were dangerous, and that the event was illegal and needed to be dispersed. The police explained to them that it was a legal assembly, and stressed that Falun Gong practitioners had the right to peaceful demonstration, and that the event was monitored and protected by the police.

An officer told Florian, the practitioner in charge of the event, “For many years, Falun Gong has been known in Hamburg for its absolutely peaceful approach. Today, it’s clear that the consulate staff couldn’t even tolerate peaceful meditation. Usually, we stay briefly [at practitioners’ events] and return when at the end,” he emphasized, “Today, we ended up staying the entire time. We are not targeting you but to ensure there are not more complaints [from the CCP] and your event can proceed smoothly.”

Later, one of the police officers had an in-depth discussion with Florian. He asked what Falun Gong is, why the CCP launched the persecution, and how Florian began practicing. The conversation was friendly and respectful.

Martina drove hours so that she could participate in the event in Hamburg. “Since the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners around the world have been peacefully and continuously raising awareness of these crimes. This silent and tenacious spirit moved me,” she said.

When asked if it was worthwhile spending hours on the road to come to the event, Martina smiled, “I am honored to be a part of it. The peaceful perseverance of practitioners and their global presence form an immense power. Their words and actions are the embodiment of the meaning of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.”

Silvia began practicing Falun Gong in 2006. “Falun Dafa gives me strength, illuminates my life, and helps me rediscover my true self. I also feel positive changes in my body. Most importantly, it helps me become peaceful and serene, and elevates my morality.”

The CCP’s continued persecution made it hard for Silvia. “Falun Gong teaches people to live according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and to become better people. It’s hard for me to comprehend that such a peaceful group is persecuted, with practitioners being tortured, killed, and their organs removed from them while they were still alive.”

Silvia hopes that passersby and consulate staff learn about the persecution and choose kindness. “Falun Dafa has brought much blessing to my family and me, and it is my wish to draw more public awareness to the persecution.”

Protest in Düsseldorf

Practitioners protested in front of the Chinese Consulate in Düsseldorf on July 22, 2026. They exposed the brutality that practitioners suffered in the persecution and mourned those who passed away in China because of the persecution.

A practitioner read aloud the names of thirty practitioners who recently died as a result of persecution, and briefly described the torture they endured. Two Chinese practitioners displayed photos of their family members who refused to renounce their faith and died as a result of the persecution. The practitioners mourned those who lost their lives in the persecution.

Ms. Schiffe read an open letter to the Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Düsseldorf. The letter exposed the CCP’s crimes in the persecution, including surveillance, repeated harassment, arbitrary detention, tortures, and forced live organ harvesting. In their letter, practitioners demanded the Consul General and staff to not participate in the persecution, and they urged them to “uphold the Chinese Constitution and stop the persecution of Falun Gong,” and “have the courage to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, so that there will be a bright and safe future for them and their loved ones.”

In front of the Chinese Consulate in Munich, a practitioner read a letter of support from Dr. Jonas Geissler (CSU), member of German Bundestag (National Panamanian), on July 22, 2026. In his letter Dr. Geissler condemned the CCP’s persecution that lasted “for over a quarter of a century” and stated, “No one should be persecuted for their religious beliefs, spiritual practice, or convictions. Human dignity is inviolable – this fundamental principle applies not only to Germany or Europe, but also universally, including China.”

A reporter from a local radio station in Munich came to the event and showed practitioners a video he made a few days before while covering a Falun Gong event.

In the video, the reporter explained why practitioners were holding the activities and the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

A practitioner in the video said they came to the Chinese consulate in Munich every week, and explained the basics of the practice. She said that Falun Gong is a Buddhist cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and that the teaching is free of charge. The practitioners also exposed the 27-year persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, including the atrocity of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The latter half of the video showed footage of the practitioners’ protest last winter in front of the Chinese Consulate in Munich, and an interview with a practitioner, Sebastian. Sebastian said that the persecution has not slowed down, and that was why they protested every Monday. The police were understanding and supportive of the practitioners’ activities. He then explained the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and informed people about the situation regarding Falun Gong in China.
