(Minghui.org) Minghui.org previously reported on the arrests of six residents in Jinan City, Shandong Province, on January 6, 2026, while they were reading the Falun Gong teachings at a private residence. One of them, Ms. Hao Guangping, was recently confirmed to have been sentenced to one year and seven months and was fined 5,000 yuan.
It is unclear when Ms. Hao, who is nearly 70, was tried by the Zhangqiu District Court, or whether she is still held at the Jinan City Detention Center.
Arrests
Officers from the Quanfu Police Station broke into 77-year-old Ms. Hao Guangju’s home on January 6 and arrested her and five practitioner who were visiting her, including Ms. Hao Guangping; Mr. Zhao Xianghai, 73, former deputy director of the Licheng District Price Bureau; Mr. Liu Sitang, 82, former engineer at the Jinan Steel Company; Ms. Pan Juan, in her 70s; and Mr. Hu Hua, in his 70s.
The police confiscated Ms. Hao Guangju’s Falun Gong books and printer. They also raided Ms. Hao Guangping’s home. The two women were taken to the Jinan City Detention Center. The other practitioners’ case status is unknown.
