Practitioners raised awareness of the persecution by reenacting forced organ harvesting and some of the CCP's methods of torture. Passersby at Parliament House took notice and signed the petition to end the atrocities.
Many politicians and supporters spoke at the practitioners' rally. A march and a candlelight vigil to commemorate their fellow practitioners who died due to the persecution followed.
Two AT&T employees who had never heard of Falun Gong or the persecution stayed to learn about the practice and why the CCP persecutes it. They thanked the practitioners for their time, energy, and dedication.
At an event in front of the Chinese Consulate in Calgary, practitioners displayed banners and shared how they and their families have been persecuted by the CCP in China.
A security guard said he hoped that practitioners would be involved in such community events in the future so that more people would have a chance to find out about the practice and the importance of freedom of belief.
